We believe that music is a tool in expressing the glories of the Savior. We are Biblically commanded to sing praise to God for who He is and for what He has done for His people in redemption (Psalm 47:6-7)Our desire is that our corporate worship be rooted in Scripture, centered in the gospel, and combining both truth and musical excellence to glorify God.We seek to create a multi-generational worship experience, having every generation represented, exalting Jesus and serving one another. We value the rich history of the church and the theological depth of the hymns of old, as well as the modern worship style that echoes the same truths and presents the heart-cry of the current generation.During any given service, we may sing a great hymn like “And Can It Be” or “It Is Well With My Soul” and follow it up with a more modern song from Hillsong, Chris Tomlin or Paul Baloche. Above all else, we aim to keep Jesus as the focal point of our worship as we boldly proclaim the gospel, uniting us to Him and to one another. If you would like more information about our corporate worship or are interested in helping lead either vocally or instrumentally, please contact our worship pastor, Adam Swiger.
Here at Christ the Redeemer Church, our goal is to glorify God by making disciples. In such a media driven culture, we understand that the quality of sound and visual effects are a vital part of how people experience a worship service. Also, the quality of what people hear and see in our church will reflect on God and His people.
We invite you to come and join our Audio/Visual Ministry Team where we serve the Lord and His church by presenting what they see and hear with excellence.
There are two main qualities we are looking for in those who like to join our Audio Ministry Team.
- A servant's heart.
- A good ear for quality sound.
Both of these may seem obvious. But it is important that those interested in being a part of this ministry would know that they are joining the team in order to serve. Also, since the audio team deals specifically with sound, it is important to be able to hear the difference between what sounds good and bad (musically and in general).
No prior experience in running a sound board or understanding of sound wiring is necessary. We would be glad to train you.
Here are a few things the Audio Ministry Team does:
- Set up and breakdown of all equipment having to do with sound.
- Audio control of music and the spoken word in house and monitor speakers in the church.
- Wiring of soundboard, computer, speaker, instruments, mics etc.
We are always looking to grow our Audio/Visual Team! If you are interested in serving, please contact our worship pastor, Adam Swiger.
