LIFE groups are small group settings where you can grow deeper in your faith and also in your friendships with others. They are casual groups that will gather (usually in people's homes) to do LIFE together and to discuss a given topic of study (such as marriage, finances, parenting, apologetics, Christian living and more). There will often be appetizers and snacks and some groups choose to do a meal together. The goal of our LIFE groups is the development of community where you are loved, encouraged, challenged, and motivated for life in Christ.

LIFE groups meet in the fall and spring and there are some that meet in the summer as well.

Most groups are held biweekly.

For this LIFE Group we will use the book Parenting by Paul David Tripp and supplemented by brief videos from RightNow Media.  You will be greatly blessed by the reading as well as the conversation as we seek to live out our challenging, exhausting yet fun, important, and rewarding God-given calling as parents. Books cost $10. Here is more about the book.

    Over 100,000 Copies in Print

What is your calling as a parent?

In the midst of folding laundry, coordinating carpool schedules, and breaking up fights, many parents get lost. Feeling pressure to do everything “right” and raise up “good” children, it’s easy to lose sight of our ultimate purpose as parents in the quest for practical tips and guaranteed formulas.

In this life-giving book, Paul Tripp offers parents much more than a to-do list. Instead, he presents us with a big-picture view of God’s plan for us as parents. Outlining fourteen foundational principles centered on the gospel, he shows that we need more than the latest parenting strategy or list of techniques. Rather, we need the rescuing grace of God―grace that has the power to shape how we view everything we do as parents.

Freed from the burden of trying to manufacture life-change in our children’s hearts, we can embrace a grand perspective of parenting overflowing with vision, purpose, and joy.

Study – Jesus and Women in the First Century and Now

Imagine walking the dusty roads of Galilee with Jesus of Nazareth—braving jostling crowds just to touch the edge of His cloak and hear Him say, "Take heart, daughter, your faith has healed you."

Those words, once meant to comfort a hurting woman’s soul thousands of years ago, were also meant for you.
Join biblical culturalist Kristi McLelland on those dusty roads as she transports you back to Jesus’ world, following in the footsteps of the women who came face-to-face with the Living God. Over 7 sessions, examine the historical and cultural climate of first-century Middle Eastern society to not only understand Jesus more deeply but to fuel your worship of Him today.

    • Explore how Jesus generously restores dignity and honor to women in the first century and now.
    • Gain deeper insight into the biblical world, including fresh perspective on familiar Bible stories.
    • Discover the Bible through the lens of Middle Eastern culture.

Cost of the books is $10.

Study –You’ll Get Through This - Hope and Help for Your Turbulent Times

You fear you won’t make it through. We all do. We fear that the depression will never lift, the yelling will never stop, the pain will never leave. In the pits, surrounded by steep walls and aching reminders, we wonder: Will this gray sky ever brighten? This load ever lighten?

In this six-session small group Bible study, pastor and New York Times best-selling author, Max Lucado offers refreshing assurance. Max reminds participants God doesn’t promise that getting through trials will be quick or painless. It wasn’t for Joseph-tossed in a pit by his brothers, sold into slavery, wrongfully imprisoned, forgotten and dismissed. But his Old Testament story is in the Bible for this reason: to teach us to trust God to trump evil.

With the compassion of a pastor, the heart of a storyteller, and the joy of one who has seen what God can do, Max explores the story of Joseph and the truth of Genesis 50:20. What Satan intends for evil, God redeems for good. The study guide cost is $9.
