Christ The Redeemer Welcomes You!
Pastor Bryan Sims explains what baptism is
and why it's important to the Christian
Pastor Bryan Sims explains how we can be certain that Jesus
actually rose from the dead.
Quite simply...it's because we believe it! We believe that only Jesus has the power to redeem the brokenness in our world. He redeems our relationships, families, struggles, and heartbreak. But most of all, He alone has the power to redeem and restore us into right relationship with God the Father! Without Christ as the redeemer of our souls, we would be left far-off from God as strangers and aliens. But praise God, Christ has come as our Savior to make it possible for us to be reconciled to God and be made sons and daughters of our Heavenly Father! Christ is the Redeemer of all things!
For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross.
One of the things people often say about Christ the Redeemer Church is that our people are so loving and welcoming. The reason for that is because God's kindness and love for us is so great that we want to share it with everyone who walks through our doors. We believe that God has created everyone in His image and loves you with an immeasurable love. This fuels all that we do here at Christ the Redeemer Church.
We know it can be stressful visiting a new church.
We hope to make it a little easier on you by giving you a heads up on what to expect when you visit.
Do you have childcare for my kids?
We do! Children are so important to us at Christ the Redeemer Church. They are always welcome in the main worship service with their parents or caregivers. Some may choose this option while others may be interested in the nursery or the various other children's programs we have. We encourage you to check your children in when you arrive at our Redeemer Kids Check-In station.
- Nursery - During our worship service, we have nursery care for infants up to 2 years old. Rest assured that all of our nursery workers have received adequate background checks with the State of Connecticut. We take great care and precaution that your child will be safe and well cared for.
- Ark Adventure - We offer a special time of learning and play for children ages 2 - Kindergarten. Your children will learn a Bible lesson, do activities and have play time as well. Following the service, you can go and check your child out from their class.
- Kid's Bible Clubhouse - We have a very fun and engaging time specifically directed to children from 1st grade - 4th grade in our Kid's Bible Clubhouse every week. We want kids in this age range to begin learning and engaging in the main worship time, so we ask you to have your children remain with you in the service until they are dismissed prior to message for the day. At that point, they will be dismissed and the teacher will take the class down to their room for a time of fun and learning. You may check your children out at the end of the service.
What do people dress like?
People dress in whatever way they feel most comfortable. One person may wear blue jeans while another may wear a dress with high heels. Please don't worry about your attire, it doesn't matter what you wear, you'll fit right in.
Do you have Sunday School Classes?
We have Sunday school for all ages at 9:30am. We offer a variety of class options for adults. Classes ends at 10:15am.
What are your beliefs?

Will I feel weird as a visitor at your church? Do you make me stand up and recognize me?
We sure hope you don't feel weird! We really want you to feel comfortable and cared for. We won't make you stand up during the service. We have a connection card that we invite you to fill out during or after the service but please don't feel obligated! If you're just exploring our church, we hope you find it to be a friendly and warm place where you can come and go as you please and go at your own pace.
