Welcome to our website. If you've never visited our church before, this site was designed with you in mind! It is our hope that you can find the answers to your questions and that you will feel comfortable visiting our church in the near future. We would be delighted to have you join us sometime soon!
DO YOU HAVE CHILDCARE?
Children are important to us at Christ the Redeemer Church. They are always welcome in the main Worship Service with their parents or caregivers. Some may choose this option while others may be interested in the nursery or various children's church programs listed below.
During our Worship Services we have a nursery for newborns up to 23 months. Toddler's Church is for 2 years - preschool age. We also have Children's Church for children Kindergarten to 3rd grade. These ages are loose guidelines and we leave it to the discretion of the parent to know where the child would most benefit.
You can rest assured that we take every precaution for the safety and enjoyment of your children.
Preschool children have a mixture of learning and play. They learn a Bible lesson, do activities, and have play time as well.
For Children's Church we give the children the opportunity to stay with their parents in the Worship Service during the singing time. Before the sermon begins, the children will be dismissed for their own time to hear a Bible lesson and to engage in other fun activities .
WHAT DO PEOPLE DRESS LIKE?
People dress in whatever way they feel most comfortable. One person may wear blue jeans while another may wear a dress with high heels. Please don't worry about your attire, it doesn't matter what you wear, you'll fit right in. We do ask that you dress modestly so as not to distract others from focusing on God.
WHEN AND WHERE ARE YOUR SERVICES?
We have Sunday School at 9:30 and our Worship Service at 10:30 AM.
WHAT KIND OF CHURCH ARE YOU?
We are an independent church affiliated with the Western Baptist Connecticut Association, The Baptist Convention of New England, and The Southern Baptist Convention. We support these groups in helping start many other new churches. It is a cooperative relationship that allows our missions dollars to be used effectively while still maintaining complete independence as a local church. We choose our own pastor, own our own buildings and assets, and determine our own programs.
